Introduction: The University of SAKARYA-TURKEY rebuild all buildings and laboratories after the earthquake Aug. 17. 1999. The region of the university is very industrial progressive. The university is very active according to the industrial co-operations. The automation techniques are based in industrial applications on the old techniques. Implementation of FPGA within industrial applications and for the education is necessary. A DSP-Laboratory will be built within the university and the first course will be organized for university staff and engineers from the industry. The realization for further industrial projects is very interesting for the swiss factories in Turkey.
Project description: The Laboratory will be included Hardware and Software for 10 working places. The building for the laboratory will be realized by the university SAKARYA-Turkey. Hardware and Software will be sent from University of Applied Sciences Zurich. Mr. G. Brugger, a Lecture at the university of Applied Sciences Zurich, prepares the documents for the project, Hardware, Software and Standard-Library. He will also give the lectures. Some of technical staff of the University of Applied Sciences Zurich also participate in the project activities. The project will cost about CHF 96'000.- and finished in one year. The financial participation of DEZA and SwissContact will be CHF 20'000.-, the financial participation of SAKARYA University will be CHF 38'600.- and the financial participation of HSZ-T will be CHF 33'000.-. The ELMAK AG participate CHF 4'400.- for initial contributions. A transfer of the new knowledge about FPGA and DSP will be given in to the education program of students. A Swiss-Turkish-Factory (ELMAK AG) in automation area will help for planing and input of local informations.
Results:
- FPGA-DSP-Laboratory for 10 working places
- Course documents
- Hardware and Software incl. Standard library
