KFPE’s New Guidelines for Research in Partnership
DRAFT VERSIONS

Thank you for visiting this website. Here you find the draft versions of our new Guidelines for Research in Partnership (Why these Guidelines?), consisting of KFPE's revised 11 Principles and the 6 fundamental questions for examining and reflecting on research in partnership.

Now that the original 11 Principles have been in use for more than 10 years, KFPE has decided to review and update them based on current trends and experience. The updated version includes an explanation, a list of main challenges and a set of steps to application for each principle. The 6 fundamental questions point to enabling and hindering factors for research in partnership and should help users to better understand and implement the 11 principles. They examine various aspects of research partnerships and are intended to stimulate reflection and debate.

In addition to the above-mentioned documents, a special web platform for the 11 principles will be created in collaboration with the University of Lugano (NewMinE Lab). This web platform will include: (i) discussion and valuation of principles, (ii) hints and indicators, (iii) types of partnerships, (iv) stumbling blocks and best practices (cases), (v) in-depth materials and reading, and (vi) contacts (experts). The web platform is intended as a discussion forum and as a tool to help make research partnerships successful (see illustration below).

The draft versions were sent to a wide audiance for consultation. The final versions of the documents will be published begining of 2012.
