KFPE-supported Masters Thesis at the Institute of Microbiology, ETH Zürich

Sudip Das is a skilled student from the Masters program in Biotechnology at the Kalinga Institute of Technology (KIIT University) in Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India. Financial support by the SDC-Programme Echanges Universitaires allowed him to perform the experimental part of his Masters thesis on the development of life oral vaccines with improved safety characteristics in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Wolf-Dietrich Hardt at ETH Zürich. He visited ETH Zürich from March to July 2010. This provided a great research experience not only for him, but also for the members of the host laboratory. By now, he has received his Masters degree and wants to pursue a PhD thesis in the field of infection biology.
